Woodland offers several product lines using very popular, great looking, durable and low-cost bamboo paneling, countertops, flooring, ceiling panels, rolled bamboo fencing and posts -- all totally sustainable.
Woodland stocks new lines of bamboo based plywood and finishing materials, as well as special orders on bamboo based cabinets with low VOC or no VOC (Volatile Organic Compound) ratings.
Kirei Board
Woodland a leading source for Kirei board, an engineered panel product constructed from the stalks of the Sorghum plant grown around the world for food. The stalks left over after harvest are heat-pressed with a non-toxic adhesive to form lightweight, strong, unique Kirei Board.
Kirei boards are used for both residential and commerical wall coverings, ceilings, cabinetry, cabinet doors, furniture and floorings. Kirei Board reduces forest clear-cutting, air pollution and landfill use. The srghum stalks used in the manufacturing of the boards are a rapidly renewable resource left after the edible portion of the plant is harvested.
Denim Pine
Woodland is stocking a specialty green building product called Denim Pine.
This naturally blue stained pine had once been considered a mistake of nature that lumber producers could not sell. The pronounced blue streaks throughout the grain made it unsuitable to use with standard pine stock.
Demand for the product began to grow after it was dubbed "Denim Pine" Now, this often difficult to find but interesting and attractive blue tinged wood is becoming widely favored for its unusual appearance.
And since the lumber producers can now sell the product under the hip new "Denim Pine" identity, this wood is no longer discarded, making it qualify as another great green solution!
